I REVEAL MY DADS MAGIC TRICKS

For years, my dad has pulled off some of the most unbelievable tricks. He’s convinced our entire family that he possesses supernatural abilities, but today? Today, I reveal the truth.

Trick #1: The Vanishing Coin
Every family gathering, Dad casually makes a coin disappear into thin air. It’s always the same routine. He shows the coin, places it in his palm, closes his hand, waves dramatically, and—poof!—it’s gone.

His secret? It’s behind his fingers. He never actually puts the coin in his palm—he just pretends to, while secretly sliding it behind his fingers or dropping it into his pocket when no one’s looking. It’s classic misdirection, and we’ve fallen for it every single time.

Trick #2: The “Guess What Number You’re Thinking” Trick
Dad loves to pretend he can read minds. He’ll tell us to think of a number between 1 and 10, then act all mystical before dramatically saying, “Seven.” And somehow… he’s right.

Here’s the truth: He always says seven. Statistically, people pick seven more than any other number in these types of tricks. The dude’s just playing the odds.

Trick #3: The “Broken and Restored” Object Trick
One time, Dad took my earphones, snapped them in half (or so it seemed), and then magically put them back together. I nearly fainted.

Turns out? He had a second pair hidden. He broke an already broken pair and then smoothly swapped them with my real earphones. The man has backup earphones just for this trick. I don’t know whether to be impressed or concerned.

Trick #4: The “Floating” Dinner Roll
At fancy dinners, Dad levitates a dinner roll from the breadbasket. Everyone freaks out, gasping at his apparent telekinetic powers.

His secret? A hidden fork. He subtly lifts the roll with a fork, angles his hands just right, and tilts his head as if using pure mind power. It’s so dumb—but we fall for it every time.

Trick #5: The “Lost Object Summoner”
This one might be his most powerful trick. Whenever I lose my phone, wallet, or keys, Dad “magically” finds them within seconds.

How? He already knew where they were. The man watches us leave things in random places, waits for us to panic, then swoops in to “magically” retrieve them. It’s less magic, more dad instincts.

The Final Revelation
After exposing all these tricks, I confronted Dad. “I know what you’ve been doing,” I declared dramatically.

He just smiled. “Oh, do you?”

Then, in the blink of an eye, he reached behind my ear and pulled out… a coin.

I have no idea how he did it.

Maybe… just maybe… some of his magic is real.
