Inside the World’s Deepest Swimming Pool!

If you think you’ve been to a deep pool before, think again. The world’s deepest swimming pool isn’t just a place to take a casual swim—it’s an entire underwater world, built for divers, explorers, and anyone who’s ever wondered what it would be like to descend into the abyss.

So, naturally, I had to check it out.

The Stats Are Insane

This isn’t your average hotel pool. The world’s deepest swimming pool—Deep Dive Dubai—goes 60 meters (196 feet) straight down. That’s deeper than a 20-story building. To put it in perspective, you could drop a Boeing 737 nose-first into this pool, and it would fit.

And it’s not just a giant hole of water—it’s a full-on sunken city.

Diving Into the Unknown

The moment I stepped in, the first thing I noticed was the water temperature—perfectly warm at 30°C (86°F). No wetsuit needed. The second thing? The sheer scale. Looking down, all I could see was water fading into darkness.

As I descended, I passed through different levels of the pool, each designed to feel like a lost underwater city. There were:

  • Sunken apartments—fully furnished, complete with books, chairs, and TVs.
  • A submerged arcade—yes, with real pinball machines.
  • An abandoned car—because why not?
  • A deep, dark cave section—for those who like a little extra thrill.

It’s honestly like someone built a Hollywood movie set, then flooded it.

The Pressure Hits Different

At around 30 meters (100 feet), I could start to feel the pressure. My breathing slowed, and every sound became muted. It was silent, eerie, and absolutely surreal. Looking up, the surface seemed so far away.

By the time I reached the bottom at 60 meters, it was clear why only advanced divers can go all the way down. It’s one thing to swim deep, but another to keep your cool when you’re that far underwater, knowing that surfacing too fast could literally mess you up.

The Ascent – and the Ultimate Flex

On the way back up, I stopped in one of the underwater rooms, took off my mask, and breathed air from an air pocket—because yes, there are actual air-filled spaces where you can talk underwater. Mind-blowing.

By the time I reached the surface, I was half-exhausted, half-awestruck. Deep Dive Dubai isn’t just a pool—it’s an experience.

Would I do it again? Absolutely.
